My first real sandbox RPG. It blew my mind with the idea of a first person open world with extensive customization abilites. It was also the first game where what my character did influenced how he advanced. If he snuck around a lot, his sneak skills got better; if he bartered a lot, those skills got better. The dungeons were rediculously large and I even had a character die getting into an unescapable situation. Of course near the end I started to see the flaws inherent in Daggerfall; the cookie cutter NPC's, transparent foliage, the generic outdoors which made fast travel needed to get anywhere. But overall it was a long, fun ride.
